Founded in 1936, Joutsen is a Finnish family-owned company and an expert in down products. The story began in Riihimäki, where founder Marius Pedersen pioneered industrial down cleaning. The swan became the company’s symbol, representing purity and pride in Nordic nature.

Crafted with quality
Joutsen’s down jackets are responsibly made at the brand’s own factory in Estonia. At processing facilities in Riihimäki and Estonia, the down filling is cleaned to exceptional purity. Lightweight down jackets are also produced by long-term partner family businesses in China. The linings use recycled fabrics, with a continuous goal to reduce virgin polyester and polyamide use.
