Interview with Maria Seraki, the Founder of MWH of Sweden: Rewriting the Dress Code

Q: Could you tell us a little about yourself and your role at MWH of Sweden?
I’m Maria, founder, CEO and creative director of MWH of Sweden. My role is a mix of vision and execution — I’m involved in everything from design and product development to strategy and communication. I lead with intention, clarity, and a lot of passion for creating clothes that empower women, not just dress them.

Q: How did MWH of Sweden get started?
MWH began from a personal frustration: I couldn’t find a suit that made me feel powerful, comfortable, and truly myself. Everything was either stiff, low-quality, or made for a completely different body. So I started designing suits that move with you — using premium materials, thoughtful tailoring, and a focus on confidence. What started as a personal need grew into a brand with a mission.

Q: How would you describe MWH as a brand? Do you have a signature piece that best represents your identity?
MWH is a modern, rebellious take on Scandinavian tailoring. We design premium suits with attitude — clean lines, bold colours, and a fit that empowers instead of restricts. Our signature suit is definitely our most iconic piece: sharp tailoring, statement colours, and comfort that surprises everyone who tries it. It captures who we are — confidence, clarity, and a little audacity.

Q: What inspired MWH to join the world of resale and circular fashion?
From day one, we’ve believed in buying less but buying better. Resale felt like a natural continuation of that philosophy. Our pieces are built to last — in design, construction, and quality — so giving them a second life honours that craftsmanship. Circular fashion isn’t a trend for us; it’s a responsibility.

Q: What do you value most in the collaboration between MWH and Ninyes?
The shared values — transparency, longevity, and respect for the garment. Ninyes makes resale trustworthy and effortless for our customers, which means our pieces stay in circulation longer. It’s a partnership built on integrity, not just convenience.

Q: What’s your best advice for selling pre-loved MWH pieces?
Quality always shines through. Keep your pieces in good condition, store them well, and present them honestly. A quick steam, clear photos, and pointing out the fit or colour you love most makes a real difference. MWH suits are timeless — so resell them with confidence.

Q: What’s your personal favourite from the MWH collection?
That changes with my mood, but right now it’s the Northern Star suit. It’s premium, sharp, and has that understated rebellion I love — the kind of suit you put on when you want to walk into a room and own it without saying a word.
